Andrés Gutiérrez

Andrés is the Regional Adviser on Social Statistics at the ECLAC Statistics Division, where he provides advice and technical assistance to National Statistical Offices and other institutions within the National Statistical Systems of beneficiary countries. His work focuses on social statistics, household survey methodology, and small area estimation models, with particular emphasis on the Sustainable Development Goals monitoring framework. He has also served as Vice-President of the International Association of Survey Statisticians and has authored several books, research papers, and software related to survey sampling, small area estimation and statistical inference.
