Renata Mielli
Journalist. She is the coordinator of the Brazilian Internet Steering Committee (CGI.br) and Special Advisor to the Minister of Science, Technology and Innovation. President of the Board of Directors of the Brazilian Network Information Center (NIC.br).
Graduated in social communication from Faculdade Cásper Líbero (2003). Ph.D. student in the Communication Sciences Program at the School of Communication and Arts of the University of São Paulo (PPGCOM-ECA-USP).
She was a member of the Content and Copyright Chamber of the Brazilian Internet Steering Committee (CGI.br) between 2022 and 2023. She was member of the Permanent Communication Commission of the National Council of Human Rights (CNDH) between 2015 and 2022. She was coordinator of the Barão de Itararé Alternative Media Studies Center between 2010 and 2023. She was a member of the Coalizão Direitos na Rede (Rights on the Internet Coalition) between 2016 and 2023. She was a member of the Communication Council of the Chamber of Deputies between 2019–2020. She was a member of the Universalization and Digital Inclusion Chamber of the Brazilian Internet Steering Committee (CGI.br) between 2013 and 2020. She was General Coordinator of the National Forum for the Democratization of Communication (FNDC) between 2016–2020 and was a member of the FNDC Executive between 2011–2020.
