Dr. Jack J. Xu

Dr. Jack J. Xu is currently VP Sales for Coherent America East, before that he was VP Marketing, Telecom in Coherent Corp. He has been in Telecom industry for 25+ years starting at Nortel and in various companies which have become part of the rich heritage of Coherent. He was a pioneer in the development of the first liquid crystal-based DGE and WB platform in 2000 at LambdaFlex (acquired by Avanex/Coherent), then VP of sales and marketing for CoAdna/Coherent, a major supplier of  WSS for the first ROADM metro network deployment. He was the first general product line manager for uITLAs at Emcore/Intel and closed major design wins for the company. Jack graduated from The University of Science and Technology China and holds a Ph.D. in Physics from Freie Universität Berlin, Germany. He is based in Silicon Valley, California, USA. He is a frequent speaker at major international conferences and exhibitions, such as OFC and ECOC.
